Portless.com Announces Seed Funding from eGateway Capital

Built by operators.  Run for operators.

We ran a $50M DTC brand. The legacy fulfillment model was breaking us. So we rebuilt it — closer to the factory, closer to the customer. Then opened it up.

The Portless Story

We didn't build this for the market. We built it for ourselves.

For over ten years, I ran my own DTC brand — Browze — and scaled it past $50 million a year in revenue. By every external measure, it was working.

But behind the topline, the supply chain was a constant drag on the business. Inventory sat on container ships for six to eight weeks before I could sell a single unit. Cash was locked in transit, every new international market meant standing up another regional warehouse, signing another 3PL contract, and owning a stack of compliance problems I never had the bandwidth to actually manage. Most days, I was running spreadsheets and chasing freight forwarders instead of building the brand I'd set out to build.

I tried everything the industry offered, and nothing was actually built for how modern DTC operates — the small-batch, fast-iteration, multi-channel reality of running a brand today. Every 3PL had been designed for a different era. So I built my own model. I opened a fulfillment hub in Asia, minutes from my manufacturers, and started shipping orders directly to customers in 75+ countries without ever routing them through a domestic warehouse.

The math of the business changed almost overnight. Inventory stopped piling up in transit, cash started converting in weeks rather than months, and customers received fast, branded deliveries that looked entirely domestic — no foreign characters on labels, no signals the order had originated in Asia. The supply chain that had been my biggest drag quietly became my biggest competitive advantage.

So we made it available to other brands. Today, Portless is what I wish I'd had when I was running Browze — and as a team, we've shifted our full focus to giving DTC operators the same unlock we built for ourselves.

The scale of the problem

$1 trillion+

Spent annually moving goods around the globe

Ecommerce still runs on a supply chain model designed decades before the internet existed. Portless is rebuilding the supply chain for the modern era. Not incrementally, structurally.

Not incrementally. Structurally.

What we believe

Three things our team believes in

Direct fulfillment is the future

The economics and speed of air freight are far superior to sea freight for non-bulky and restricted products.

Fulfillment is a brand moment

Branded packaging, 6-day delivery. Customers remember it. Operators who don't, underinvest.

Cash flow shouldn't be sacrificed

The fastest growing brands are the ones that have the most cash available to reinvest into their businesses.

What customers say

What DTC operators say about Portless

"It's allowed us to bring forward our product launches by 100+ days. They can finish at our supplier, get straight into the warehouse, and we can start selling the next day. Speed to market, it gives us a lot more flexibility."

Jesse Leeworthy

Co-founder

"Portless has enabled us to expand internationally without the cost and complexity of setting up regional fulfillment centers. It's reduced operational headaches, maintained delivery reliability, given us flexibility to respond quickly to demand in new markets."

Tyler Stelter

COO

"Working with Portless is just seamless. You really feel like you’ve stepped aside, and you’ve got your factory and your production managers working directly with the Portless team for inbounding. I’m just sent packing lists, I’m just ticking boxes now."

Ryan De Gennaro

Founder

"Before using Portless I would spend 5+ hours per week on inventory planning, analysis and coordinating sea fulfillment just because my lead times were 3 months. Once I switched to Portless, it not only freed up cash but freed up my time to focus solely on making great products."

Matias Belete

Founder

Portless has helped our business immensely during a really intense and stressful time for eCommerce businesses worldwide. They have allowed us to get to market much faster and with much lower costs. Their onboarding and support has been first class throughout our growth.

Ryan Jones

"Spartan Kitchen Products launched into four new markets through Portless without setting up a single regional warehouse. Instead of operational overhead expanding with each new market, it dropped. 20+ hours per week reclaimed from logistics coordination."

Shawn Numrich

“We generated $70K in package protection revenue in a single quarter by adding a simple $4 protection option at checkout — plus an additional $12K from cashbacks. Customers get peace of mind, and we're making a profit on every protected order with zero effort."

The Model Behind the Fastest Growing Brands

Temu and Shein don't wait for containers. Now you don't have to either.

The brands reshaping ecommerce built their competitive advantage on one thing: direct fulfillment from Asia. Inventory stays near the manufacturer, ships direct to the customer, and lands in days — not months.

Portless gives every DTC brand the same model — without building it.
